Kamusal mekanın, kent mekanından soyutlanması ve devlet otorite"sinin yaratmış olduğu dokunulmazlık algısının bu süreçteki rolü

Abstract

Bu tezin üzerinde durduğu konu, ‘kamusal mekan’ın günümüz kentleri için ne ifade ettiğidir. Bireylerin, ‘iktidar’ ile oluşturmaya çalıştığı diyalogu yada ‘otorite’ ile girdikleri mücadelenin zemini olarak karşımızda duran kamusal mekanın, ‘özne’nin tekrar üretilmesindeki rolüne dikkat çekilmeye çalışılmıştır. Ancak, ayrıca ele alınan bu sürecin, ‘devlet otoritesi’ tarafından nasıl sekteye uğratıldığı eleştirilmektedir. Bunun sonucu olarak da ‘kamusal mekan’ın, kentsel mekandan soyutlanmaya çalışılmasının ardındaki itkilere dikkat çekilmiştir. Kamusal mekanın dönüşüme uğratılmış yeni formunun ardındaki söylemler, kentsel mücadelelerin yapısı ve iletişim çağının olanakları bağlamında ele alınmıştır.The issue this thesis focuses on is what means ‘public space’ for today’s cities. The role of public space standing as the ground of the dialogue which individuals try to constitute with the ‘power’ or the struggle they involve with the ‘authority’ in reproducing the ‘subject’ is attempted to be pointed out. Nevertheless, how the continuum handled is brought to a halt by the ‘state authority’ is also ciriticized. As a result, the drives behind the attempts to isolate the ‘public space’ from the urban space are introduced to your attention. The discourses underlying the new, altered form of the public space are discussed in the sense of the structure of urban strugglesa and the facilities of communication age.
