Covid-19 pandemi sürecinde kadın ve erkeklerin ruh sağlığı problemlerinin toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve kişilik özellikleri açısından incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada pandemi sürecinde kadın ve erkeklerin ruh sağlığı problemlerinin toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve kişilik özellikleri açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya 21-50 yaş arası evli toplam 122 kişi katılmış, katılımcıların %54,4'ü kadın, %42,6'sı erkektir. Araştırmada kullanılan veri toplama araçları; Sosyodemografik Bilgi Formu, Kısa Semptom Envanteri, BEM Cinsiyet Rolü Envanteri, Sosyotropi-Otonomi Ölçeği-dir. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 21.0 istatistik programı kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlara göre Sosyotropi-Otonomi Ölçeği Ve Kısa Semptom Envanteri puanla-rının cinsiyete göre karşılaştırmasına ait bağımsız iki örneklem t testinde ölçekler-den alınan puanların cinsiyete göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği (p>0,05) tespit edilmiştir. BEM Cinsiyet Rolü puanlarının cinsiyete göre karşılaştırmasına ait bağımsız iki örneklem t testi sonuçlarına göre ise erkeksilik ve sosyal beğeni cin-siyet rolleri puanlarının cinsiyete göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği (p>0,05) ; kadınsılık cinsiyet rolü puanlarının ise cinsiyete göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir (t=2,47; p<0,05). Kadın katılımcıların kadın cinsiyet rolü puanı, erkek katılımcıların puanına göre anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksektir. Sosyotropi-otonomi ve cinsiyet rolleri ile ruh sağlığı problemleri arasındaki ilişki için Pearson korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Kadınsılık ve erkeksilik rollerine ait puanlar ile Kısa Semptom Envanterinin alt boyutları arasında anlamlı ilişki bulunmazken (p>0,05) sosyal beğeni alt boyutu ile KSE'nin alt boyutları (olumsuz benlik, dep-resyon, anksiyete, hostilite, somatizasyon) arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir.In this study, it was aimed to examine the mental health problems of women and men during the pandemic process in terms of gender roles and personality traits. A total of 122 married people between the ages of 21-50 participated in the study, 54.4% of the participants were women and 42.6% were men. The data collection tools used in the study were Sociodemographic Information Form, Brief Symptom Inventory, BEM Gender Role Inventory, Sociotropy-Autonomy Scale. SPSS 21.0 statistical program was used for data analysis. According to the results, in the independent two sample t-test for the comparison of Sociotropy-Autonomy Scale and Brief Symptom Inventory scores according to gender, it was determined that the scores obtained from the scales did not differ significantly according to gender. According to the results of the independent two-sample t-test for the comparison of BEM Gender Role scores by gender, it was found that masculinity and social appreciation gender role scores did not differ significantly by gender, whereas femininity gender role scores differed significantly by gender. The female gender role score of female participants was significantly higher than that of male participants. Pearson correlation analysis was used for the relationship between sociotropy-autonomy and gender roles and mental health problems. While there was no significant relationship between the scores of femininity and masculinity roles and the sub-dimensions of the Brief Symptom Inventory, it was found that there was a significant positive relationship between the social appreciation sub-dimension and the sub-dimensions of the BSI (negative self, depression, anxiety, hostility, somatization).
