Lise çağı bireylerde su tüketim kaydı ve total idrar protein düzeyinin su tüketim miktarı ile ilişkisi

Abstract

ÖZET: Günlük su tüketim miktarının adölesan bireylerde yetersiz oluşu hem dünya genelinde hem de ülkemizde önemli bir problemdir. Yetersiz su tüketimi birçok sağlık sorununa yol açabileceği gibi üriner sistemimizi doğrudan etkilemektedir. Son araştırmalar idrar proteinlerinin su tüketim miktarı ile ilişkili olabileceğini düşündürmektedir. Araştırmaya; İstanbul ili Bayrampaşa Bölgesi Bayrampaşa Devlet Hastanesinde stajer olarak görev yapan Nisan 2018- Mayıs 2018 tarihleri arasında gönüllü olarak başvuran, ilaç kullanmayan ve herhangi bir sağlık problemi bulunmayan 17-19 yaş arası 105 adölesan birey dahil edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada bireylerin günlük ortalama su tüketim miktarının saptanması ve 105 katılımcının içerisinden oluşturulan 15 kişinin katıldığı subgrup analizinde değişen su tüketim miktarının idrar proteinleri üzerinde olan etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS Statistics 18.0 programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre; su tüketim miktarı ile fiziksel aktivite yapanlar arasında pozitif korelasyon r= 0,448 bulunmuştur. Su tüketim miktarı ve çay tüketim miktarı, tatlandırılmış içecek tüketim miktarı arasında negatif korelasyon (sırasıyla r= -0,497, r= -0,422 ) bulunmuş ve istatiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu görülmüştür. Fiziksel aktivite yapanların günlük ortalama su tüketim miktarı daha fazla, çay, tatlandırılmış içecek tüketenlerin ise daha az bulunmuştur (p< 0,05). Su tüketim miktarı ile idrar proteinleri arasındaki ilişkinin bakıldığı subgrup analizinde ise artan su tüketimi ile total idrar protein miktarı arasında istatiksel olarak anlamlı pozitif korelasyon saptanmıştır (p< 0,001). Literatürde su tüketim miktarının idrar proteinleri üzerine olan etkisini farklı tekniklerle ortaya koyan çalışmalar mevcuttur. Ancak bu etkinin mekanizması ve değişken parametrelerin rolü hakkında bilinmeyen pek çok nokta halen vardır. Bu çalışmada, tüketilen su miktarının total idrar protein düzeyini değiştirdiği ve aşırı su tüketimi durumunda idrar protein derişiminin arttığı görülmüştür. Çalışmamızda elde ettiğimiz bulgular su tüketiminin idrar kompozisyonuna etkisi hakkında fikir verdiği gibi aynı zamanda idrar proteom analizi ve biyomarker araştırılması alanındaki çalışmalara katkı sağlayabilir niteliktedir.ABSTRACT: Daily water consumption is low in adolescents and this is an important problem both in our country and worldwide. Inadequate water consumption directly affects the urinary system and can lead to many health problems. Recent research suggests that urine proteins may be associated with water consumption. This study was conducted in Bayrampasa region of Istanbul and participants were selected from interns at Bayrampasa State Hospital. 105 volunteer adolescents between the ages of 17 and 19, who were not using drugs and were healthy, participated in the study between April 2018 and May 2018. This study aimed to determine the daily average water consumption of the participants and to investigate the effect of changing water consumption on urine proteins in the subgroup analysis of 15 participants from 105 participants. SPSS Statistics 18.0 was used to analyze the data. According to the results of the study, the positive correlation between the amount of water consumption and those doing physical activity was found to be r = 0.448. There was a negative correlation (r = -0.497, r = 0.422, respectively) between water consumption, tea consumption, and sweetened beverage consumption, and it was found to be statistically significant. The average daily water consumption was found to be higher for those doing physical activity and less for those consuming more tea and sweetened beverages (p <0.05). In the subgroup analysis of the relationship between water consumption and urine proteins, a statistically significant positive correlation was found between increased water consumption and total urine protein content (p <0.001). When the literature is examined, it is seen that studies are showing the effect of water consumption on urine proteins by different techniques. However, there are many unknown points about the mechanism of this effect and the role of variable parameters. In this study, it was seen that the amount of water consumed changed the total urine protein level and urine protein concentration increased in the case of excessive water consumption. The findings of our study provide an idea about the effect of water consumption on the composition of urine and also contribute to the studies in the field of urine proteome analysis and biomarker research.
