Halen Georgetown Üniversitesi’nde uluslararası ilişkiler profesörü ve Whitney Shepardson Senior Fellow sıfatıyla Council on Foreign Relations üyesi olan Kupchan’ın, özgün uzmanlık alanı olan İran ve Körfez siyasetinden zaman içerisinde dünya politikası ve ABD hegemonyası alanına yönelen bir yayın çizgisi var.
