| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışma, Osmanlı-Türk romanının ilk örneklerinde sıklıkla işlenen alafranga züppe tiplemesi üzerine eğilerek, gerek Tanzimat yazarı gerekse toplum gözünde Batılılaşma algısını anlamaya çalışmaktadır. Bu noktaya eğilmek, iki temel iddiayı sorgulama amacı taşımaktadır: Birincisi gerçekten iddia edildiği gibi Tanzimat insanı Batı'yı yüzeysel anlamış, yenileşmeye ayak uyduramayıp kabukta bir değişim mi gerçekleştirmiştir İkincisi: Alafranga züppenin Batılılaşma şekli aşırı-Batılılaşma olarak tanımlanabilir miAşırı-batılılaşmak neyi ifade etmektedir Bahsi edilen sorulara, roman ve gerçekliğin temsili, yazarın kaygısı, toplumsal ve kültürel değişim açılarından bakılarak cevaplar aranmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çerçevede son dönem Osmanlı toplumundan seçtiğimiz portreler ise, bize dönem insanı hakkında fikir vermiş; bu insanların yaşanan değişimin farkında, Batılı değerleri özümsemiş ve hayat bütünlüğü içerine tutarlı bir şekilde yerleştirebilmiş olduğu sonucuna götürmektedir. Kısacası bu insanlar, kültürel senkretizmin Osmanlı modernleşmesi bağlamında özgün örneklerini oluşturmaktadır; dolayısıylayabancı ve taklitçi züppe tiplemesi dönem insanının özelliği olarak genelleştirilemez. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The study tries to understand the perception of westernization in the case of both society and Tanzimat writers by examining westernized dandy typecasting of early Ottoman Turkish Novels. To examine this typecasting, aims to question two basic thesis. First, Was it a superficial westernization of Tanzimat man that could not perceived the idea of West Second, can the westernization form of westernized dandy be described as over-westernization What is the meaning of over-westernization. The questions indicated above are examined trough reflection of novel and reality, the worry of writer and cultural and social changes in order to find answers. The potraits that were choosen from the late Ottoman society, created an idea about the people of the time. These people were aware of the changes and synchronized the merits of both the West and the East. Therefore, it is not possible to generalize typecasting of foreign and imitator dandy as characteristics of the people of that period. | en_US |
