The purpose of this research is to examine the COVID 19 related psychological stress, childhood traumas, and perceived social support levels in adults. In the study, investigations were made by using the answers given by 252 adult participants to the questionnaires. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the questionnaires were delivered to the participants via online forms. The Socio-demographic information form, COVID-19 Related Psychological Stress Scale, Childhood Trauma Scale, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support and Depression Anxiety Stress Scale were administered to the participants. According to the findings obtained in line with the answers of the participants, it was determined that there was a significant difference in the sub-dimensions of anxiety and childhood traumas according to gender. In terms of sociodemographic variables, it was observed that there were significant differences in the levels of depression, anxiety, stress, childhood traumas, COVID-19 related psychological stress and perceived social support of the participants. When the relationship between COVID-19 related psychological stress and childhood traumas, depression, anxiety, stress and perceived social support levels was examined, it was found that COVID-19 related psychological stress was significantly associated with childhood emotional abuse and emotional neglect. It has been observed that there is no significant relationship between the COVID-19 related psychological stress, stress and perceived social support levels. The findings include current findings on the relationship of the COVID 19 pandemic with the mental states of individuals and elements related to daily life functionality. It is suggested that the effects of the COVID 19 epidemic, which is a critical event both individually and socially, can be examined with further research.
