Öğe Platon ve Aristoteles'in Erdem Anlayışının Akıl bilgi Mutluluk ile olan İlişkisinin Karşılaştırılması(İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi, 2013) Birlik, Vahip; Atalay, KaanThe aim of this thesis is; to understand Plato and Aristotles conceptions of virtue compare those perspectives with their ideas of wisdom (nous), knowledge (episteme) and well-being (eudaimonia). While examining the vocabulary they choose not only has Plato been able to uniqualy his ideas, he is also a philosopher of ancient time and whose work are stil valued in the present day. Aristotle who while being naurished by his master adopted Plato’s ideas and managed to formulate alternate perspective within the original concept. Plato states that reaching the truth is close the relation with outgrowing the self, however Aristotle the need for individual and builds on the concept of uniqness, withing the scope of these ideas both philosopher arrive at different conclusion on the same subject. Their conflicting philosphies underline their perception and experiences in life and this can be seen in the focus each a scribe to their system of philosophical development. Plato conviction is that virtue finds it s roots in knowledge and reflects the inseperable harmony with the truth. The idea of knowledge is said to be reached through the process of thinking which the provides knowledge by means of emotions proponded to be inaccessable. Acording to the Plato, valid information is the only to be found in the permanent and thrust worthy earth. Thus real knowledge must be searched for on stable, permanent and solid ground while knowledge provided by emotion, lacks impersonal perfection; this lack term doxa is defined as the ideas born from wisdom. Virtue can also be gained through born way of doxa, each of their personal experiences with and concept of justice, wisdom, knowledge and well-being throughly affected their philosophies of virtue.
