Investigation of the effect of genotype and phenotype risk transfer on individual investment decisions through personality characteristics in financial psychology

Abstract

Bu tezin amacı genotip ve fenotip risk aktarımının kişilik özellikleri üzerinden bireysel yatırım kararlarına etkisinin ve ilişkisinin incelenmesidir. Bu etkinin ve ilişkinin etyolojisi, bireylerin gelirlerinin giderlerinden artan kısımlarını veyahut kredili işlemlerini yatırıma yönlendirirken mizaç ve karakter çerçevesinde aldığı kararları, açıklık, sorumluluk, dışadönüklük, uyumluluk ve duygusal denge gibi kişilik özellikleriyle kalıtım ve çevre ekseninde değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın yordayıcı etkisi ile gelecekte bireylerin yatırım kararlarında bu etkilerin göz önünde bulundurulduğu finansal ürünler, yatırım portföyleri ve ekopsikofinansal modeller dizayn edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Tezin amacına uygun olarak 255 erkek 276 kadın toplam 531 katılımcıyla anket yöntemi ile veri toplanmış, ölçek olarak Beş Faktör Kişilik Envanteri, Schwartz Sonuc? Testi ve araştırmacının demografik soruları kapsayan bir çalışma kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada ilişkisel olarak kişilik özellikleri ortalama puanları, iyi oluş ortalama puanları ve risk ortalama puanları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi Pearson momentler çarpımı ve nokta çift serili korelasyon katsayısı analizi, yatırım düzeylerinin ve kalıtsallığın yordayıcı etkisi lineer ve ordinal regresyon yöntemi, gruplararası nedensellik ANOVA ve t-Testi analizleri testi sonuçlarına göre değerlendirilmiş, finansal psikolojide genotip ve fenotip risk aktarımının kişilik özellikleri üzerinden bireysel yatırım kararlarına etkisi sınırlı da olsa tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, bireyler yatırım kararlarında bulunurken genotip faktörün bir uzantısı olarak duygusal denge çarpanı yüksek nevrotik bireylerin davranışı ile riskli ürünlere yönelimleri arasında bir etki mevcuttur. The aetiology of this effect and relationship is aimed to evaluate the decisions taken by individuals within the framework of temperament and character while directing the remaining portion of their income from their expenses or credit transactions to investment, along with personality traits such as openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism. With the predictive effect of the study, it is aimed to design financial products, investment portfolios and ecopsychofinancial models that take these effects into consideration in individuals' investment decisions in the future. In accordance with the purpose of the thesis, data was collected by survey method with a total of 531 participants, 255 males and 276 females, and a study including the Five Factor Personality Inventory, Schwartz Outcome Scale and the researcher's demographic questions were used as scales. In the research, examining the relationship between personality traits average scores, well-being average scores and risk average scores, Pearson product moments and point biserial correlation coefficient analysis, predictive effect of investment levels and heredity linear and ordinal regression methods, intergroup causality ANOVA and t-Test analysis test results in financial psychology, genotype and phenotype risk transfer is thought to have an impact on individual investment decisions through personality traits. As a result, when individuals make investment decisions, as an extension of the genotype factor, there is an effect between the behaviour of individuals with a high emotional balance multiplier and their tendency towards risky products.
