Genç futbolcularda liyofilize kızılcığın performansaetkisi

Abstract

Polifenol içeriği sayesinde antioksidan ve anti-inflamatuvar özellikler ile ilişkilendirilen liyofilize kurutulmuş kızılcık (LDCC), spor performansı üzerindeki etkileri açısından sınırlı sayıda çalışmada ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, kısa süreli LDCC takviyesinin adölesan erkek futbolcularda anaerobik performans üzerindeki etkilerini değerlendirmektir. Çalışmaya yaş ortalaması 16,2±1,9 yıl olan 50 lisanslı erkek futbolcu dâhil edilmiştir. Katılımcılar, yedi gün boyunca günde 30 g LDCC (210 mg antosiyanin) tüketmiştir. Anaerobik güç ve kapasite, müdahale öncesi ve sonrasında Koşu Temelli Anaerobik Sprint Testi (RAST) ile değerlendirilmiştir. LDCC takviyesi sonrasında toplam, maksimum ve minimum sprint sürelerinde anlamlı azalmalar gözlenmiştir (p<0,05). Ayrıca maksimum ve minimum güç değerlerinde artışlar saptanırken, yorgunluk indeksinde anlamlı bir değişiklik belirlenmemiştir (p>0,05). Sonuç olarak, kısa süreli LDCC takviyesinin tekrarlayan sprint performansı gerektiren spor dallarında anaerobik performansı destekleyici potansiyel bir beslenme stratejisi olabileceği düşünülmektedir.Lyophilized dried cornelian cherry (LDCC) is a polyphenol-rich food that has been associated with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties; however, evidence regarding its effects on sports performance remains limited. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of short-term LDCC supplementation on anaerobic performance in adolescent male soccer players. Fifty licensed male athletes (mean age: 16.2 ± 1.9 years) participated in the study and consumed 30 g of LDCC daily, providing 210 mg of anthocyanins, for seven consecutive days. Anaerobic power and capacity were assessed using the Running-Based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST) before and after the supplementation period. Following LDCC intake, significant reductions were observed in total, maximum, and minimum sprint times (p < 0.05). In addition, maximum and minimum power outputs showed significant increases (p < 0.05), while no significant change was detected in the fatigue index (p > 0.05). These findings suggest that short-term LDCC supplementation may enhance anaerobic sprint performance and could represent a promising nutritional strategy for sports involving repeated sprint activities.
