dc.description.abstractÖZET: Bu makale son yıllarda ülkemizde ve uluslararası kamuoyunda sıkça gündeme gelen gıda ürünlerinin konu olduğu skandallardan yola çıkarak gıda güvenliğini tehdit eden meselelerin başında gelen gıda dolandırıcılığına, Türkiye’de anıldığı şekliyle taklit ve tağşiş meselesine odaklanmaktadır. Yazıda tağşiş basit bir suç kategorisi veya uluslararası gıda sistemi içerisinde bir anomali olarak ele alınmamıştır. Gıdanın ve tağşişin sosyal tarihine ve politik ekonomisine dair bir tartışma yürütülerek, bugünkü hâliyle tağşişin küresel tedarik zincirleri kadar karmaşık, çok aktörlü ve çok boyutlu bir mesele olduğu ve kapitalist gıda üretim biçiminin yapısal bir dinamiği olduğu ortaya konmuştur. Bu bakış açısıyla, gıdada tağşişe dair yürütülen hâkim mücadele yaklaşımı eleştirel olarak incelenmiştiren_US
dc.description.abstractABSTRACT: This article focuses on food fraud, a leading threat to food safety. More specifically, it focuses on counterfeiting and adulteration, two types of food fraud, known by the concepts taklit and tağşiş in Turkish. These two categories of food fraud became the subject of several high-profile food scandals in Turkey and internationally. The article does not treat adulteration merely as a category of criminal conduct or an anomaly vis-à-vis the international food system. Instead, the article takes a social historical and political economic angle on food and food adulteration and argues that adulteration is as complex and multidimensional as the global supply chains are and must be understood as a structural dynamic internal to the capitalist mode of food production. Approaching food fraud from this structural perspective, the article critically examines the existing struggles against food adulteration.en_US
