TFRS 15 Standardının açıklama hükümlerine uyumun BİST toptan ve perakende ticaret sektöründeki işletmeler kapsamında incelenmesi

Abstract

TFRS 15 Müşteri Sözleşmelerinden Hasılat standardı, finansal rapor kullanıcılarına, özellikle hasılat ve nakit akışları konusunda faydalı bilgiler sağlamayı hedeflemektedir. Bu standardın finansal raporlarda tam ve doğru bir şekilde ifade edilmesi, özellikle yatırımcılar için büyük önem arz etmektedir. Zira hasılat, işletmelerin performansını yansıtan temel göstergelerden biri olarak, yatırım kararlarını etkileyen kritik bir unsurdur. Bu çalışma, toptan ve perakende ticaret sektöründe faaliyet gösteren halka açık ortaklıkların TFRS 15 Müşteri Sözleşmelerinden Hasılat Standardında yer alan açıklama hükümlerine ne derecede uyduklarını belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu çalışma kapsamında, toptan ve perakende ticaret sektöründe faaliyet gösteren halka açık şirketlerin, TFRS 15 Müşteri Sözleşmelerinden Hasılat Standardındaki açıklama hükümlerine uyum düzeyleri incelenmiştir. Bağımsız denetim raporları detaylı bir analize tabi tutularak, şirketlerin TFRS 15 açıklama yükümlülüklerine ne ölçüde uydukları değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirmede yapılırken; şirketlerin kilit denetim konusu olarak hasılatı seçip seçmedikleri irdelenmiş, uyum düzeylerinin denetim yapan bağımsız denetim firması ve faaliyet gösterilen sektör gibi faktörlere bağlı olarak değişip değişmediği araştırılmıştır.The TFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers standard is designed to offer valuable insights to users of financial statements, explicitly concerning revenue and cash flows. The complete and accurate representation of these matters in a company's financial reports is of significant importance, especially for investors, as revenue is one of the primary indicators of a company's performance. Thus, revenue is a critical factor influencing investment decisions. This study seeks to assess the degree of compliance among publicly traded companies in the wholesale and retail trade sector with the disclosure requirements outlined in TFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers. This study examined the compliance levels with the disclosure requirements of TFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers Standard for publicly traded companies operating in the wholesale and retail trade sectors. Independent audit reports were subjected to detailed analysis to assess the extent to which these companies met the disclosure obligations of TFRS 15. This evaluation considered whether companies selected revenue as a key audit matter and explored whether the levels of compliance varied depending on factors such as the independent auditing firm and the sector in which they operated.
