The Industrial Property Law No. 6769 allowed the revocation of the trademarks by an administrative decision and granted such authorization to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. This administrative revocation procedure, which was not included in the Decree-Law No 556 on the Protection of Trademarks, has been included in the Article 26 of the Industrial Property Law as “revocation reasons and revocation request”. In this study, both the revocation and invalidity procedures were examined comparatively, and the revocation reasons were discussed. Although the reasons for the revocation are examined substantially, the examination of invalidity reasons was excluded from the study. Since the administrative revocation procedure is in force in European Union legislation which is the source of this new regulation in our law, the European Union legislation has also been addressed in some parts of the study. In the first chapter, the concept of the trademark has been started, the invalidity action has been explained and then the procedural provisions in invalidity have been included. There quest for revocation is explained in the first section and the provisions of the procedure are examined. At the end of the first chapter, the effects of invalidity and revocation were also mentioned. In the second part of the thesis, the reasons for revocation were examined one by one.
