This paper investigates the design of a robust static output feedback controller for a class of linear continuous-time systems with norm-bounded time-varying parameter perturbations. A descriptor type model transformation and the utilization of free weighting matrices approach are taken into consideration. A linear matrix inequality approach is proposed to develop some sufficient conditions for the existence of a static output feedback controller. Numerical examples are used to demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed methodology. Copyright © 2009 Watam Press.en_US
