| dc.description.abstract | The integration of supply chain management, value chains, and circular economy (CE) principles in tourism promotes a transition from linear to sustainable circular models. This shift reduces waste and enhances resource efficiency through cross-sectoral synergies. Circular practices optimize energy use, implement shared transport solutions, and improve waste management via recycling and biodegradable materials. Cross-industry collaboration creates closed-loop systems, such as converting hotel food waste into biogas for agriculture. Local loops enhance resource retention, supporting economies and reducing emissions. Success requires collaboration among policymakers, industry, and consumers, supported by policies, innovation, and education to ensure effective implementation of circular strategies.
