dc.description.abstractThis chapter presents an extended analysis of the gasification kinetics of rice husk char in H2O and CO2 atmospheres, emphasizing enhanced syngas production for sustainable energy applications. Building upon initial findings presented at the 14th International Exergy, Energy and Environment Symposium (IEEES-14), this study incorporates additional experimental data and advanced simulation techniques to offer a deeper understanding of the process dynamics and efficiency improvements. New kinetic models are introduced, which better account for the variable behaviors of reactants under different operational conditions, thereby providing a more accurate prediction of the gasification process. The results underscore the potential of rice husk as a viable and sustainable feedstock for syngas production, contributing to the reduction of waste and enhancement of renewable energy sources. This chapter also discusses the environmental and economic impacts of utilizing agricultural residues in energy production, aligning with global sustainability goals. Through comprehensive analysis and simulation, the study demonstrates significant advancements in the optimization of gasification processes, thereby supporting the development of more efficient and cleaner energy technologies. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
