| dc.description.sponsorship | Aslı Göksel has also worked extensively on Turkish Sign Language (TİD). As a researcher in the SIGN-HUB project, funded by the European Commission (Horizon 2020), which aimed at providing an innovative resource hub for the documentation of the linguistic, historical and cultural heritage of Deaf communities as well as for sign language assessment, she has made significant contributions to the online grammar of TİD and to the preservation of the cultural heritage of European Deaf communities. These contributions include, but are not limited to: authoring/co-authoring of several chapters of the TİD grammar; supervising research on the history of Deaf communities in Turkey; managing the team that conducted interviews with the elderly Deaf signers in Turkey; and actively participating in the preparation of a documentary on the historical and cultural heritage of European Deaf communities. | en_US |
