This article focuses on the role that the EU institutions played during the Brexit negotiations and the impact of the Brexit on the institutions themselves. The first part of the article will outline how the institutions carried out the negotiations and the second part will summarize the negotiations/withdrawal agreement draft works. Finally, the article will discuss the short-term implications of the Brexit negotiation process and the UK's withdrawal on the EU's institutional structure.
