Özet
This article explores Türkiye’s evolving position in the global technology landscape by analyzing the intersection of its innovation policies, sectoral developments, and geopolitical strategies. Türkiye has achieved notable progress in sectors such as defense, fintech, gaming, and e-commerce, supported by government-led initiatives and targeted policy shifts. However, challenges persist due to regulatory volatility, limited private sector capacity for market-driven innovation, and the absence of a coherent dual-use strategy. The shifting global order with intensifying binary alignments complicates Türkiye’s efforts to balance relations with major powers while attracting high-value technology investments. The article argues that Türkiye’s technological ambitions depend on long-term commitments to R&D, talent retention, and international collaboration, beyond mere strategic positioning. © 2026 selection and editorial matter, J.
