Öğe Library Seals(TURKISH LIBRARIANS ASSOC, 2022-06-30) Işık, Hatice; Akyol, FatmaÖzet: n this research, we aim to elicit the current situation by examining how book/library seals are used in today's university libraries, where the seal is used together with seal designs and seal examples. In order to querry the library seals, the dictionary meaning and the importance and history of the seal are debated in general. In the continuation of the article, the randomly selected library seal samples were evaluated with the figurative scanning model. Since the researches and academic studies on seals used in libraries only cover a certain period and there are very few studies in this context, it is aimed to reveal the new era uses and to be a roadmap for future studies on this subject. It is the ultimate aim of this authors to increase researches and publications on this subject.
